What do you think? I hear there are lots of shih-tzu-loving people out there. Should I print the new painting onto cards to sell in my Etsy shop? I think I may need to start painting other animals too. What animals would you like to see painted and printed onto cards? Maybe I should take a stab at something different!
This is so lovely! Of course you should do cards with it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ollina! I think I should too. :)
ReplyDeleteI will definitely buy some cards if you make them! Of course, I'm a bit prejudice since the portrait is of Toby, our beloved Shih-tzu. Thank you Susan for blessing me with the opportunity to give such a wonderful gift to my husband for his upcoming birthday.
ReplyDeleteKim, you're so welcome! I'm so happy to have worked on this for you. :)
DeleteWonderful work! There's a great movement out there for ACEOs and ATCs... maybe you should try and print some?
ReplyDeleteGood idea Aloquin! I've done a number of original ACEO paintings and I haven't thought of doing prints yet. Maybe I need to really consider it. :)
DeleteAwesome!

DeleteI was never quite happy when I worked with watercolors in art school. You however do a great job with this medium!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Mechelle. It definitely took a while to get used to how they work. It makes it so that I can't use oil paints though...those take way too long to dry. :)
DeleteAdorable! I would love to see some Maine Coon cats on cards!! I am partial since my Miss Kitty is one!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the suggestion, AnnMarie! Those are such pretty cats. I'll put it on my list. :)
DeleteThe puppy lovers out there are gonna love this new direction you're taking.........Go for it
DeleteThanks, SG :) I think I will!
DeleteLooks just like that doggie. What a change from the background in the photo to your simple one. Really shows off the subject.
ReplyDeleteThanks, for pointing that out, Sue! I wanted to show folks that you don't have to have a professional photo to still end up with a good portrait. Of course, a good clear photo is always best! :)
DeleteOH, so cute!!! I agree, you should do cards and any animal would be adorable. Wildlife like foxes, owls and most birds are really in right now.
ReplyDeleteThanks, ZudaGay! I have also seen a bunch of owls, foxes, and birds lately... So much to consider! :)
Deleteso cute! my mom would love it as she is a shih-zu lover! I second Zuda above on the birds and owls and also add some hedgehogs!
ReplyDeleteHedgehogs? So fun! Thanks for the idea. :)
